About

Ben Schill

Ben Schill —

Is a carpenter, story teller, beloved father and brother, widower of beloved wife Tui, and an archivist who has been collecting and archiving the narrated stories of the Native American peoples of Northern California and the United States for forty plus years.

Ben Schill currently resides in Humboldt County with two (maybe three) nefarious cats who do not approve of Daylight Savings Time.

Ben is regularly surprised when he is served first as an “elder” at gatherings of the People.

His daughter loves him and is beating him up to put these collected stories on a website — which is how this website came to be.

These are the stories of the People as narrated to Ben Schill by the People.
